It’s not a mystery.
Managing stress, moving our bodies, 8 hours of sleep, nourishing foods and real rest (ie avoiding over-working, over-functioning, saying yes to all the committees without guilt or feeling unworthy to relax) are key to physical health. Turning off the nasty inner critic, stopping the incessant worry, anxiety and despairing thoughts returns our vibrant mental health. But embodying these practices consistently without a constant battle, excessive willpower and struggle has been elusive….until NOW.

You’ve read books and or listened to podcasts, you get inspired by each new hack or idea but nothing seems to stick, after a few weeks (or days)—you’re back scrolling social media more than you want to, staying up later than you intend to, one drink turns to 3 or 4, you emotionally eat, binge on Netflix or on-line shopping to help you feel better? You’ve gotten a prescription and it didn’t help. You went to talk therapy. Hi! I’m Lea Durante a primary care Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience and approximately 50,000 patient visits to my name. I’ve cared for an unending stream of high functioning women, who are fed up with the stress, the anxiety, the back aches, the stomach troubles, the fatigue, depression and inability to stick to an exercise regimen, stop emotionally eating or get the deep, restorative sleep they need. So I kept digging, kept asking questions and found nervous system regulation, neuroplasticity, endocannabinoid repletion and fast methods for subconscious reprogramming. I discovered the limitations of current frameworks for change. I invested in training from neuroscientists, coaches, psychologists, psychiatrists and even hypnotists….all the while thinking where the hell has this information been?
Suddenly, it became clear….
There’s a lot of cultural & economic forces that want this exhaustion, this yo-yo for you and me. This giving to the brink of depletion, the in and out of therapy, on and off medication, stopping and starting exercise regimens & diets, the grasping at the next supplement, pop culture or influencer’s fix. The truth is a lot of products, services and pills are sold from our pain and also from that inkling, deep inside, that keeps saying “damn, life isn't supposed to be this hard and stressful, is it?” or hell, just forget it and give me the new purse, the cocktail or the chocolate chip cookie, I give up.
So I applied the tools and processes to myself and I healed with this integrative approach…
That flash of dread before getting out of bed each morning is gone.
My fiercely rude and mean inner critic rarely speaks any more. The voice that degraded me, beat me up for mistakes and spoke doubt, judgment and shame over my life for years–its just not there anymore.
I have a depth of connection and presence to life regardless of external circumstances. I can find calm and deep satisfaction even as I struggle with kids, my career, and being be a good citizen.
Health habits that are actually good for me, don’t feel like a chore, burden or require force; it still blows my mind, but there’s ease to them now.
While there was nothing wrong, per say, in my marriage before, I changed and our relationship and communication is better than ever, as is our sex life.
Being a mother no longer feels like an unceasing stream of things to do, stress and frustrations punctuated with moments of deep joy and love. It’s now, (most of the time) joyful, fun and deeply meaningful, even with all annoyances, challenges and demands that come with being a parent.
Entering perimenopause with horrible migraines, irregular cycles and worse irritability I sought support from my doctor but hormones didn’t help. Once I learned how to decrease the cortisol & stress reactions from within and through lifestyle, I achieved balance.
There is a lightness to my being and a simultaneous sturdiness in my grounded center, knowing and courage. It feels really good to know how my body and mind actually work and how they can support me.
I teach these tools and skills to my kids (ages 8 and 5) and now they have the foundation for resilient mental health and physical wellbeing that I never had.

Three months from now waking up…
….without the anxiety or dread as the alarm goes off. As you get up your energy feels light and vibrant. You feel good. Ready and resilient for however this day will unfold. It’s not about guaranteeing things will change, because I can’t do that. Only you can do that. Only you can show up to learn, to be coached, to apply the process to your life and participate. Even with all my support literally only you can experience, feel and shift your inner world, nervous system and subconscious.
In over a decade of working in the healthcare, I know somethings don’t change even with committed effort, intention and a variety of interventions, tools and medicine. Real life includes pain and often unfair difficulties. With this science and integration process you can expand your mind, heart and interior landscape for more ease regardless of what challenges and circumstances you continue to face. You can create the capacity for acceptance, greater detachment and shifting away from the cultural perspective of “problems.” This creates ease and strength and significantly reduces burdens & suffering even if some external realities don’t change.
Will concrete health changes occur— yes absolutely! Some changes will be immediate and feel almost miraculous and some will take place over time, with repetition of re-wiring neural connections. But I could never guarantee the particular timing of your experience.

This work will compliment that which is already supporting you. This work centers your internal knowing and inner resourcefulness. Your clinicians are an essential piece of your health care team and are the responsible party for dictating any changes to your care plan. But you my friend are the leader of your life and health and the expert of your inner experience. This work grounds you in that role.
Our work here is for informational, educational and experiential purposes and it can be integrated will all healing modalities.

It’s simply however you define it. Often it’s described as the Energy, Essence or Presence that we can feel but can’t see or measure. Sometimes expressed as the experience of Love, Connection, Consciousness or transcendent awe. Humans across all times and cultures have attempted to describe this experience of “Spirit” using a variety of language, titles, rituals and religions. All interpretations and practices are welcome.
Even if you have no spiritual practice currently, but have a sense there is more than the physical world we can perceive with our senses and measure objectively, that openness and curiosity is enough.
This is not about proselytizing or a certain way of thinking or believing. Exploration and listening is encouraged. Who you are, what you specifically believe matters, the words and practices that are meaningful to you matter and will the guiding light to our time. Your unique expression and understanding as a spiritual being provides a powerful element to wholeness— body, mind and spirit, it all matters.
